I think by now most people realizes that "cloud proficiency" requires new roles and skills.
Last December, EMC stepped up by announcing what I believe to be the first-ever "cloud architect" certification in the industry. The reaction has been extremely popular, to say the least.
The certification courses are now out of pilot, and in full production. As of this writing, there are now over 482 people enrolled for current or future classes.
The certification and associated coursework isn't a simple rubber stamp. You need serious certifications to get into the course, and that's when the fun starts.
We've captured a few video testimonials here, here and here of people who have been through the first few instances of the coursework. Generally speaking, extremely positive. I am also told that we're planning a preview version of the certification course at EMC World.
