It's no secret, I'm a big fan of FCoE technology -- not only in its own right, but in the broader context of unified fabrics for the data centers of tomorrow.
Chris Mellor over at Blocks and Files scored a great interview with someone who's laying it out clearly and concisely -- just what you need to know, and no hype.
Check it out here.

I suppose Robert Kembel would have no bias (or hype as you call it) in the matter as he has made much of his living on Fibre Channel over the last couple decades and is teaching classes on FCoE now. Not too likely that he would position iSCSI as something competitive with FCoE.

Hi Marc -- good to hear from you post-Dell!
Well, yes, I suppose that everyone has their biases, but I thought he did a good job of laying out the differences -- at least from my (biased) perspective.
Let me know where you end up, ok?
Cheers!

I agree that Robert is a real expert and an excellent writer. So I'm at 3PAR now and I'm sure we'll have plenty to talk about in the months to come.

Great!
Actually, we figured that you were at 3PAR a day or so ago with your great post on TSA's "announcing" IBM's new XIV product.
And -- yes -- that's gotta be the best storage blogging scoop -- ever!
Best of luck!
